MedRAS

The Project MedRas is the result of a joint initiative of IUCN together with other Mediterranean partners to foster a network of the most representative and critical habitats through the Mediterranean and to transfer the knowledge on how to achieve this, through a series of case studies and consultative process, to decision makers.

This involves the setting up of a network of experts and practitioners in different countries; integrating information on biodiversity, habitats and human users and impacts; and developing a methodology that includes scientific and socio-economic values to establish a sustainable and representative Network of Managed Areas with the objective of biodiversity conservation.
