IUCN-Med receives award for its work

The International Union for Conservation of Nature Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation (IUCN-Med) receives one of the awards to the 10 best ideas to save nature.

RED Life and Cajar Rural del Sur Foundation announce each year the "10 Best Ideas to Save Nature" awards, that is a peculiar Top 10 whose aim is to recognize the effort of people and organizations throughout the year to conserve biodiversity. Magazine RED LIFE and Caja Rural del Sur Foundation have chosen, for five consecutive years, the TEN BEST IDEAS TO SAVE NATURE, according to the opinion of almost four thousand readers. In order to make the selection, the ideas are voted by the readers of RED LIFE magazine and the users of www.naturahoy.com.
These are some projects and initiatives that, due to their singularity and relevance, contributed in some way during the last year to the conservation of biodiversity. Some of the species related with winner projects are the imperial eagle, the osprey, the cetaceans or the lesser kestrel.
