Welcome to Maher Mahjoub, who is joining the IUCN-Med office in July as the new IUCN North Africa Programme Officer. Maher has been working for the Tunisian Ministry of Environment for the last ten years. He is also vice president of the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas since 2009.

New additions to the team include also the following collaborators: Manuel Argamasilla in the Ecosystem Programme; Luis Toscano García in the Marine Programme; Cecilia Saura Drago in Institutional Relations; Michela Conigliaro, Lucía Pérez Martínez and Violeta Barrios in the Species Programme; Patricia Skviraet in the Finance Department and Álvaro González Montero in Communications.
