PROJECT PARTNERS CONVENE

The project partners will be meeting over the next months to monitor progress in the implementation of the different Pegaso project activities.

• Barcelona will be the starting point for the Steering Committee this September to revise workplans and prepare the next virtual conference in October.

• A face-to-face training workshop in the development of Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) platforms will be taking place in Oostende, Belgium at the end of October. This workshop is co-organised by the project partners Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ, Marine & Coastal Research & Management in Flanders), the University Pablo de Olavide, and the University of Barcelona. For more information, please contact Gonzalo Carlos Malvarez, Universidad Pablo de Olavide de Sevilla.

• Two further regional workshops entitled "Envisioning the future" are coming soon. These events will focus to learn about the present status of the Black Sea and Mediterranean environments and explore different policy options and implications to preserve the coastal natural capital and create a better balance on coastal development. The workshops, addressed particularly to CASE sites, will be held the 13-15 November in Tour du Valat in France, and on 5-7 December at the offices of the Black Sea Commission in Istanbul, respectively.

• Next April (2013) the next Annual General meeting of all project partners and end users will take place in Rabat, Morocco.
