LINKS

From September 30th to October 22nd 2016, five documentaries were screened at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Visuels (ESAV) in Marrakech.

Within the framework of the 22nd Conference of the Parties (COP) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Marrakech, from November 7th to 18th, the IUCN- Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation, Cadi Ayyad University And the École Supérieure des Arts Visuels jointly organized the cinema-debate cycle "Climate change: understand to act".

The inauguration of the cycle took place on Friday, September 30th at 6:00 pm in the hall of the École Supérieure des Arts Visuels (ESAV) with the screening of the French documentary "Demain"

Five films ('Demain', 'Home', 'Waste Land', 'Cowspiracy' and 'Human', premiered in Morocco) were part of the Cycle program, open to the general public and students.

The goal of this initiative was to create a forum for discussion and reflection on environmental issues in the context of the upcoming UN climate conference. On this occasion, a program was conceived, proposing documentaries from all over the world, with strong themes and echoing local issues, reaching a very wide audience.

After the screening, critics and climate change experts interacted with the public. Environmentalists, scientists, filmmakers, journalists and teachers were also present to discuss the themes surrounding each documentary.
