LINKS

We are delighted to welcome Dr Ivis Chan who will starts in April as the new Project Officer for the Natural Networks in the Balkans and Turkey following Steve Jones' departure. She would be involved in the IPAMed project. Ivis has a PhD in Ecology from Bournemouth University (looking at tree diversity for conservation planning in the Mesoamerican region) and excellent practical experience having worked on large multi- partner projects to improve the management of important areas such as national parks and building community capacity. We welcome her to the Plantlife International team. She will be in touch with all partners in early April.

After 16 years at Plantlife, Dr. Seona Anderson left Plantlife in January. We thank Seona for all her incredible work across the Balkans and very significant contribution to global plant conservation.

Ben McCarthy, the Director of Strategy at Plantlife, will maintain an overview of Plantlife's MAVA work as he develops a new international strategy for Plantlife to fully contribute towards the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation.
