Between the 24-28 October 2016 many of you will gather on Montenegro's Mediterranean coast for the Mediterranean Plant Cosnervation Week. Hosted by the Green Home ong, our partner spearheading work at IPAs in Montenegro, this Workshop will provide an opportunity to exchange experience across North Africa, the Middle East, Turkey and the Balkans - and to visit several IPAs in Montenegro.

Green Home is in charge of the workshop logistics that will take place in Ulcnj. IUCN and Plantlife are devising a programme for the workshop. We will discuss this with partners shortly. The one week workshop will combine indoor sessions with field visits to two local IPAs. We are likely to include sessions focus on how to use species information for site management and conservation; cultural values and plant conservation; networking, building synergies and involving volunteers and mapping for plant conservation.
