Call for applications: IUCN Green List Group in the Maghreb

The Green List reference group (EAGL) has initiated the process of implementing the IUCN Green List of Protected Areas that shall be established at the level of participating countries / regions.

The IUCN Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation (IUCN-Med) and the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas has issued a call for expressions of interest to become a member of the IUCN Green List Reference Group for three North African countries (Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia).

This body of experts will evaluate the demands of protected / conservation areas that wish to access the Green List according to the global standard adapted to their national context. The EAGL-Maghreb will be composed of 10 to 15 members. The IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas, IUCN-Med, and an independent evaluator will evaluate all the offers and select a group of 10 to 15 individuals to form the Maghreb group.

Interested persons were requested to provide the information indicated in the text of the appeal by 16 April 2018 at the latest.
