Reptiles

There are an estimated 345 species of reptiles in the Mediterranean region - a much higher species richness than in central and northern Europe.

In December 2004 experts meet to discuss the species assessments for all of these species and to assess their status and distribution.

Below are some examples of the draft assessments for four of the species. Please do not quote these assessments until they become final.
